Doug is methodical, thorough, authentic, experienced, and caring. He brings each of those skills to his teaching of this course and provides all the necessary information and resources for anyone interested in becoming a Podcast Production Specialist. This is an excellent learning experience, which I highly recommend for anyone who wants to offer the types of services Doug knows and explains well. My only concerns were these: First, at the time of my course completion, the material was already two years old. In the world of online business and technology, things change quickly, so I was concerned whether important information was already outdated. Second, although Doug strongly recommended focusing on the specific skills of podcast production that best fit our individual interests and experience, I received the impression that many clients will need assistance with social media marketing and website design as part of podcast services. Those are not areas in which I have a great deal of interest, and I don't want to get started on this path and belatedly learn that my clients consistently want services I don't want to offer. So I still have some questions and research, even after completing the course.

I took this class 'live' when it was launched by VAClassroom in Autumn 2015. Only 2 weeks beforehand I had declared that I was turning into a 'course junkie' and therefore I wasn't doing any more courses until I decided my new niche...LOL! That decision lasted a whole week until three former & existing clients asked me about podcasting within a few days. And I was already supporting a client podcast (and had been for the previous 4 years). So, I thought it worthwhile to add some new learning to my existing practical skills. I am so glad I decided to do 'just one more course' and take the Podcast Production Specialist class. It was pivotal in me deciding to focus on podcasting as my main niche. It has given me fantastic scope for my business development. It has also given me fantastic scope for personal development too as I have definitely 'come out of hiding' and have been a guest on several podcasts, and have finally got to launch my own podcast too. I find the range of work interesting and also creative, and it is a very good niche for marketing and delivering specific service packages.

This was great! I knew about podcasting but not all the pieces for putting it together. I was really simple. Now let's see what I can do :).
